When creating this work, I was inspired by  ponds, lily pads and lotus flowers as well as golden and red carp.
 Koi carp are renowned for bringing peace and serenity to Asian gardens. On a spiritual level, it embodies strength and perseverance in the challenges of life, it helps us to move forward in our lives.
